Sharon Kilzer has been writing most of her life. She currently works as an editor for an educational publishing firm, and spends her free time creating new adventures for Riki Storm, vampire hunter. Dark Jewel is Sharon’s first novel in what she hopes will become a vampire series featuring the irrepressible Riki Storm.
Like Riki, Sharon grew up in Berkeley, Calif. Unlike Riki, Sharon now lives in New Zealand. She has two Bachelor of Arts degrees, one in Mass Communications (with a Journalism emphasis), and one in Art (with a Painting emphasis). Sharon also has a Master of Arts in Teaching, and is licensed to teach in the U.S. and in New Zealand. After earning her Master’s degree, Sharon went on to do additional work in the field of English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).
In addition to working as a teacher with learners of all ages, Sharon has worked extensively as a writer, editor, and project manager in the fields of advertising, marketing, technical writing, journalism, and publishing.
